Will You Bless Me
32 Behold, the hour cometh, yea, is now come, that ye shall be scattered, every man to his own, and shall leave me alone: and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me.
33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
I know that things will get tough, I know that you will not like the things you ARE going through, but think about something. You didn’t lose your life for people that weren’t born yet or for the sins of someone else. You didn’t receive a beating fit for a thief yet you did or said nothing. What am I saying; the things you are going through are okay…He said we would have things to go through. But it will be okay, just bless Him while you are going through.
Tribulation…the word sounds so daunting. Who would want to go through that? The word makes “trouble” seem like a nice word. “Trial”, “Suffering”, “misfortune” these words are associated with tribulation. Oh, yes, it will be a tough time at times; but you will be able to get through it. Jesus was speaking to His disciples at a time that He knew the time was drawing near for Him. He knew that the tribulation He was going to go through, would be a lonely one for the naked eye, but His father would be with Him. The thing about this is that He never said a thing, but glorified God all the way. He was saying that even though I am going through, I will bless God for what is happening.
Jesus was able to see in the future and see that He was going to be the One that would take the sins of the world and save a lot of people that believed. He was able to tell His disciples that when you go and spread the gospel, you will feel alone…you will go through some things, but you can make it. People will throw stones at you, but you can make it. People, even your family, will not AGREE with what you think or say, but you can make it. The question is, will you bless Me while going through? Will you give up, through in the towel, cuss and fuss because things aren’t going your way? Will you take on the robe of discontent and head down the wide road that you were on before or will you bless Me for the tribulation. Romans 5 says, tribulations come to MAKE us patient…will we wait for it to be over and do what we are destined to do. Will you Bless ME while going through?
I know that it is a tough thing to do…to go through with a smile on your face. It hurts to smile through your tears. It is very difficult to say “I’m fine” and you are hurting inside. He said we will go through, He didn’t say lie about going through. We have to learn what it is to be in and going through. You are IN your situation, but you are not going to STAY in your situation. If you tell someone “yes, I am having problems right now” that is your problem (tribulation) now, but you can finish and say “but God is with me”. You are blessing Him and you didn’t even know it. My God, will you bless Him while going through…I hope so, because it won’t last always.
